Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how the developer of Stone Zen ("we," "us," or "our") handles information when you use the Stone Zen mobile game.
1. Overview
Stone Zen is a stone-sorting puzzle game. You can play without creating a separate Stone Zen profile. On supported platforms, your platform account can authenticate a Unity player so that supported progress can be saved in the cloud. The game does not ask you to submit a name, public profile, contacts, or user-generated content.
2. Information Stored on Your Device and in Cloud Save
The game stores information locally on your device so it can preserve your progress and preferences, including:
- Your current level and tutorial progress
- Energy, undo, and feather balances and recharge timing
- Sound, music, and vibration settings
- Technical privacy-request state used to retry an Analytics opt-out or deletion request
When cloud save is available, Unity Authentication creates or accesses a player identifier linked to your platform account. On Apple devices, authentication is tied to the Game Center account signed in on the device.
Unity Cloud Save stores your current level, save time, energy balance and recharge time, undo and feather balances, and music, sound, and vibration settings. It does not store an in-progress board, move history, spawned feather platforms, purchase receipts, transaction identifiers, or payment information.
Deleting the app generally removes local data, subject to device backups, but does not necessarily delete cloud progress. Cloud progress may be restored after reinstalling when you use the same supported platform account.
3. Gameplay Analytics
We use Unity Gaming Services Analytics to understand how the game performs and how its levels and features are used. Analytics may process technical information and game events such as:
- App, device, operating-system, session, and installation information
- Level number, attempt count, move count, and time spent on an attempt
- Level completion, restart, and out-of-moves outcomes
- Use of undo or feather features
- Changes to sound, music, or vibration settings
- Whether a rewarded ad was started, completed, or unavailable, and the reward category
Our custom gameplay events do not include your name, email address, free-form text, contacts, or payment information. Unity may generate identifiers and collect other technical data as described in its Game Player and App User Privacy Policy.
4. Rewarded Advertising
Stone Zen offers optional rewarded ads through Unity LevelPlay and participating ad networks, including Unity Ads. You choose whether to watch a rewarded ad in exchange for an in-game benefit.
Advertising providers may process information such as:
- Device and advertising identifiers, where available
- IP address, approximate location derived from it, language, and device characteristics
- App and ad interaction data, including impressions, clicks, completion, and reward events
- Consent, privacy, and advertising-preference signals
- Information used for ad delivery, measurement, fraud prevention, and frequency control
The ads shown and the providers involved can vary. Their processing is governed by their own policies. See Unity's privacy policy for game players and app users for more information.
5. Platform Services, Cloud Save, Purchases, and Diagnostics
Unity Authentication and Unity Cloud Save process a Unity player identifier, IP address, authentication information, and the cloud progress described above so the game can recognize a returning player and synchronize supported progress. Apple Game Center provides the platform credentials used for this authentication on Apple devices.
If you make an in-game purchase, Apple or Google processes the transaction under its own account and payment terms. The game and Unity In-App Purchasing receive product, transaction, purchase-state, receipt, and entitlement information needed to present products, grant content, prevent duplicate grants, and restore eligible non-consumable purchases. We do not receive your full payment-card details.
Apple may provide us with crash reports, performance diagnostics, download statistics, and similar App Store information when you have enabled the relevant sharing options on your device. Apple handles that information under its Privacy Policy.
6. Support Communications
If you contact us, we receive the information you choose to provide, such as your email address, message, screenshots, device model, operating-system version, and app version. Please do not send sensitive personal information.

- Present in-game products, process purchase outcomes, grant content, and restore eligible purchases
- Detect errors, abuse, and advertising fraud
- Respond to support and privacy requests
- Comply with legal obligations and protect our rights
8. How Information Is Shared
We may share or permit processing of information only as reasonably necessary with:
- Unity, which provides Authentication, Cloud Save, Analytics, In-App Purchasing, LevelPlay mediation, and rewarded-ad services
- Apple or Google for platform authentication, store distribution, purchases, restores, and diagnostics
- Service providers that help us operate and support the game
- Authorities or other parties when required by law or necessary to protect rights, safety, and security
We do not sell information that directly identifies you, such as your name or email address.
9. Data Retention
- Local game data remains on your device until it is overwritten, cleared, or the app is deleted, subject to device backups
- Cloud progress and its Unity player identifier remain available until they are deleted or the relevant service retention rules require removal
- Purchase providers retain transaction and account information according to their own legal and store requirements
- Unity currently states that raw Analytics event data is retained for 13 months, while some metrics and user-profile data may remain until deletion is requested
- Advertising providers retain information according to their own policies
- Support communications are retained only as long as reasonably necessary to resolve requests, keep appropriate records, and meet legal obligations
10. Your Choices and Rights
- You may decline to watch rewarded ads; doing so does not prevent ordinary gameplay
- You can manage tracking and personalized-ad choices in your Apple device settings where those controls are available
- You can manage Game Center sign-in through your Apple device settings
- You can remove locally stored game data by deleting the app, subject to device backups; this does not necessarily delete cloud progress
- You may contact us to ask about access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or other privacy rights available in your jurisdiction
To make a privacy request, email support@stone-zen.com. We may need information from you to locate the relevant records and verify the request.
11. Legal Bases for Processing
Where applicable law requires a legal basis, processing may be based on providing the game and requested support, our legitimate interests in operating and improving the game, compliance with legal obligations, or your consent where consent is required. You may withdraw consent through the available device, ad, or privacy controls, without affecting earlier lawful processing.
12. Children's Privacy
Stone Zen is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly ask children to provide personal information. If you believe a child has provided personal information through a support request, contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.
13. International Processing
Unity, Apple, advertising partners, and other service providers may process information in countries other than your own. Where required, they or we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers.
14. Security and Changes
We take reasonable steps to protect information, but no system is completely secure. We may update this Privacy Policy as Stone Zen or applicable requirements change. The latest version will be posted here with a revised effective date.
